Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles including flatbeds and tow trucks. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a customer service-oriented mindset. The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, including manual transmission trucks.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs as needed during transport.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns or conflicts professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedules.
- Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in automotive repair and mechanic knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency in conflict management and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo (lifting up to 50 pounds).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
