Veterinary Assistant/ Groomer/ Reception Needed - wage depends on experience
Dayshift hours, rotating Saturdays- (no Sundays, no swing or night shift)
We are a small, NON-corporate, family-owned and operated Animal Hospital. We are looking to add a few hardworking dedicated humans to our outstanding team.
We are a high-quality hospital with exceptional standards of care, seeking highly motivated, long term team members with a strong work ethic. If you have worked with animals in the past, (farm/ranch, pet store, grooming), have a strong interest in animal medicine, military background, currently enrolled in or graduated from any Veterinary assistant program, if you've been trained on the job and not currently being fully utilized in your chosen career path, or if you're being used as a glorified cleaning person, or if you have grooming experience and want to break into the veterinary field, working with us could change ALL of that. Under direct supervision, we allow and expect ALL of our assistants to learn and advance their skill level. You'll get to do things with us that most clinics won't allow. (within the boundaries of the law)
For those of you that have never worked in the animal field at all and you're smart & motivated and can learn things quickly, we have our own in house training program that could be your breakthrough into animal medicine.
Here are just a few of the job duties that you'll be helping to perform:
- Surgical Assisting
- Post-op patient care
- Digital Radiology
- Administering Medications
- Patient vitals/check-ins
- Dental cleanings
- General Pet Nursing and Care
- Running our in house lab equipment
- Venipuncture
- Client communications
Way too many things to list them all. Experienced applicants or assistant program grads preferred however we are willing to train the right person. We highly value a team environment where we all work together for the common good to facilitate high-quality care for our clients and patients.
