What you’ll do
- Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm to ensure a welcoming shopping atmosphere.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns.
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, driving customer interest.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending complementary items.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring product availability.
- Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to keep the store well-supplied.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
Basic qualifications
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory accurately.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store setting.
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base effectively.
- Experience in supervising or training team members is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to analyze sales data and trends.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
