We are a no-kill, non-profit Shelter for cats and dogs. We are searching for dedicated individuals who have a heart for rescue animals.
Kennel assistants are responsible for overall care of our animals. This involves cleaning and sanitizing kennels each morning and providing food and clean water. Kennels have to be cleaned and ready for prospective adopters by 11am every morning.
You will be asked to do laundry and other tasks the Shelter Manager may ask you to do. All workers have to pitch in and help, depending on time available.
You will be asked to medicate any sick animal, as directed by Shelter Manager, assist guests seeking animals to adopt and oversee meet-and-greets.
Must be able to work independently, follow protocol, be comfortable working with animals and have reliable transportation .
Efficiency and timeliness is important as is the commitment to turn up every morning when you have a shift. Hours are 8am to 4pm. Shelter is closed for adoptions on Sunday and Monday but the animals still need to be cared for.
We are looking for 2 new team members for our dog kennels, 1 fulltime and 1 part time, mostly weekdays but you may be asked to work one weekend day. Ability to lift 50lb.
