Position: Process Industrial Engineer
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for supporting production lines, troubleshooting, process control and monitoring, and employee efficiency. They are also responsible for ensuring the collection, trending, and analysis of manufacturing process information with the objective of properly controlling planned workload demand to ensure that operational costs, quality, and delivery times are met to achieve customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for the design of work area layouts to maximize production efficiency.
· Coordinates and resolves production and quality issues; maximizes product reliability and reduces costs.
· Applies statistical methods to processes.
· Execute the analysis of delivery orders and their due dates.
· Perform production capacity analysis (planning and distribution of different production unit models).
· Conduct analysis and validation of parts with low inventory levels.
· Generate reports (shop parts, units to be manufactured, flow orders, priorities, production achievements, and new configurations).
· Generate material orders through requisitions.
· Perform other assigned duties and projects.
· Keep the work area clean and organized.
· Comply with and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Create and develop work instructions for each department.
· Ensure continuous improvement of processes and systems.
· Maximize the use of raw material in the cutting department.
· Provide technical support to the Production team.
· Balance quality, productivity, costs, and safety to achieve positive results in all areas.
· Develop and maintain the production and quality structure.
· Monitor process changes to stay up to date with production updates.
· Establish metrics to measure productivity levels.
· Develop and use techniques for process analysis, trend evaluation, data collection, and employee performance.
· Maintain a harmonious, professional, and effective work environment.
· Assume responsibility for the ongoing performance of implemented processes.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Other projects assigned by the Production Manager and Plant Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
· At least 2 years of experience in an equivalent position.
· Experience in the textile industry or production environment preferred.
· Experience in logistics and operational management.
· Proficient in computerized systems.
· Good communication skills and ability to maintain constructive relationships with all staff.
· Bilingual.
· Effective organizational skills; highly oriented toward continuous improvement initiatives.
· Must have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
· Ability to work on multiple tasks under time constraints while maintaining determination, energy, safety, and courtesy.
· Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships that drive collaboration, teamwork, and results.
