DuHadaway Tool and Die Shop, Inc. is currently seeking Mechanical Disassembler/Assembler Technicians for our industrial turbine component repair division operations located in Newark, Delaware. These positions require a strong mechanical skill/aptitude, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, balance, and basic math skills. Candidates must have experience with general hand tools, pneumatic tools, overhead cranes and possess an attention to detail. Candidates should also be able to communicate with various departments and personnel in a collaborative atmosphere, work from verbal and written instructions, retain processes and maintain paperwork. An understanding and the ability to use measuring equipment such as: micrometers, dial calipers, and height gages is required. These are full-time positions on 1st and 2nd shifts with a pay rate up to $24.00 per hour, plus a 10% 2nd shift differential. Qualified Candidate Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of automotive/mechanical technician experience desired
- Be familiar with the use of general hand tools such as: sockets, wrenches, small power tools, etc.
- Duties to include, but not limited to: assembly/disassembly of components, sandblasting, inspection, pressure and flow testing.
- Be familiar or have experience with measuring instrumentation such as: calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc.
- A mechanical aptitude is required.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, lift assessment and drug screening.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
