Duties
- Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls with professionalism, courtesy, and enthusiasm.
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, or cancellations using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide clear information regarding health insurance coverage, billing procedures, and medical terminology to clients.
- Document all interactions accurately through data entry and maintain comprehensive records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Address patient inquiries related to healthcare services, provider availability, or general health information with problem-solving skills.
- Utilize multilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations when applicable.
- Follow phone etiquette standards to ensure a positive experience for every caller while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in call center operations or customer service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management).
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and healthcare support procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to handle phone call management efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Technical proficiency with data entry, typing accuracy, and familiarity with healthcare software systems.
- Exceptional customer service problem-solving skills combined with strong phone etiquette and active listening abilities.
