Pay: $25.00–$36.00 per hour

Job Summary:
The CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders to perform routine and repetitive grinding operations. This role ensures all parts meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong setup experience, understands GD&T, and takes pride in precision workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders
- Perform grinding operations in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
- Maintain production standards while meeting quality requirements
Quality & Inspection
- Verify work using various precision measurement methods
- Ensure parts meet customer specifications and tolerances
- Apply working knowledge of GD&T principles
Production & Documentation
- Work on jobs according to due dates provided through the scheduling system
- Report job progress accurately using the current scheduling system
- Assist with fabricating new components per engineering drawings
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to set up CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to verify work using various measurement tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and follow scheduling systems
Preferred:
- Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience fabricating components from engineering drawings
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to grinding machinery and moderate noise levels
- Frequent standing and machine operation throughout the shift
- Repetitive motion and precision hand movements
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
