The RN Manager for Specialty Services oversees outpatient specialty clinic operations, focusing on improving patient access, workflow efficiency, safety, quality, and overall patient experience. This leadership role is key in enhancing healthcare delivery within a dynamic clinical environment.
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentorship to clinic staff
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care
- Identify and resolve workflow and operational challenges
- Conduct regular staff meetings to enhance engagement and performance
- Collaborate with leadership to improve specialty and surgical services
- Optimize scheduling, referrals, and patient access
- Standardize workflows to increase efficiency and reduce wait times
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff
- Support professional development and training initiatives
- Oversee staff competencies, certifications, and licensing compliance
- Manage employee relations in collaboration with leadership
- Ensure appropriate daily staffing levels
- Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews and accreditation standards
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Lead quality improvement (QI/QA) initiatives
- Oversee clinic supply management and recommend equipment needs
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- 5+ years of clinical RN experience (including at least 1 year in ambulatory care)
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting
- Active, unrestricted RN license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Current BLS certification
- Required clinical and managerial competencies within 3 months of hire (renewed every 3 years)
