In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of our clients' facilities throughout the day by performing routine custodial tasks, responding promptly to service needs, and ensuring high sanitation standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, customer-focused, and committed to exceeding client expectations through quality workmanship, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning and custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums efficiently and safely to maintain floors and surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents with proper safety procedures, ensuring correct storage, usage, and disposal in compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, reporting issues promptly for resolution.
- Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support a safe and functional environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from staff or visitors courteously and professionally.
- Follow all safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation including floor buffers.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established handling safety procedures.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and upkeep.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to industrial cleaning, chemical handling, and heavy lifting practices.
