American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for an outpatient birth and family clinic position in Edmonds, WA, requiring Epic proficiency and a background in L&D with outpatient clinic experience.

Labor and Delivery patient population in an outpatient/ambulatory environment

Schedule: 3x10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
-
No weekend requirements

No on-call requirements
-
Floating between all facilities within the state may be required as needed within skillset

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Higher patient ratios expected; experience managing elevated caseloads is ideal
-
Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required
-
Outpatient clinic experience required; ambulatory triage experience preferred
-
Background in Labor and Delivery required
-
Required skills: triage, interpretation of lab results, vital signs, pain assessment, pulse oximetry, and use of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Local, non-local, and true traveler candidates are all eligible

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred qualifications include strong patient education skills (especially around lifestyle and medication adherence), and experience with quality improvement initiatives

Scrub color: any color or casual business attire

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive time-off requests may impact eligibility
-
Any RTO requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied and could result in contract termination
