The Jogger/Aerator Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining jogging and aerating equipment to prepare printed materials for bindery and finishing processes. This role ensures printed sheets are properly aligned, separated, and ready for downstream production while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate jogging and aerating equipment to align and separate printed sheets.

Inspect printed materials for defects such as offsetting, marking, smudging, or damage.

Ensure loads are properly squared and prepared for cutting, folding, stitching, or binding.

Adjust equipment settings to accommodate different paper weights, sizes, and job specifications.

Monitor workflow to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Maintain clean and organized work area.

Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Communicate with press operators, cutters, and bindery personnel to ensure job accuracy and quality.

Assist other departments as needed to support overall production flow.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in printing, bindery, or manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to read and understand job tickets and production instructions.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Basic mechanical aptitude.
