REsistance is looking for high-energy, passion filled, engaging people to join our team of Indoor Spin Instructors.
Instructors are responsible for providing an exhilarating experience! Instructors must have a passion for both people and fitness! Responsibilities include providing an unforgettable ride and exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Customer-Service Skills: REsistance instructors have a unique/fun energy and establish/maintain relationships with clients on behalf of Resistance.
- Motivational Skills: To keep clients coming back, REsistance instructors must keep their riders engaged throughout the workout.
- Physical Fitness: REsistance instructors must be physically fit, as their job requires a considerable amount of exercise. Instructors need to participate in classes and demonstrate the ride.
- Problem-Solving Skills: REsistance instructors must provide regressions and progressions for riders with differing abilities.
- Communication Skills: REsistance instructors must be able to communicate and deliver exercise cues/movements to clients in a professional, clear, and motivating manner.
- Listening Skills: REsistance instructors must be able to "read the room.”
- Time Management: REsistance instructors must be proficient in delivering a multi-dimensional workout, while delegating their attention to all riders. Classes must always start and end on time.
- The qualified candidate will have the ability to instruct an indoor cycling class in a safe and effective manner.
- Must be able to pick up at least 2 or more regularly scheduled classes per week.
- Instructors must follow the REsistance ride schedule and formats.
- If hired, be willing to instruct spin only at REsistance within Indian River County.
- Should be open to feedback and want to continue to learn.
- Attend any and all trainings or meetings hosted at Resistance.
- Must be active on Instagram and/or Facebook.
- Must have loads of personality and energy, love for music and be a team player.
- Must be comfortable building relationships in the community and in the studio with existing and new riders.
- When instructing, must wear logo’d apparel
- Must be able and willing to move bikes or equipment and set up for events
- Must be willing to clean studios, bathrooms, and lobby
- Must be able to lift 30-75lbs
- Must have reliable transportation to and from REsistance
- Must be able and willing to work Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays
Essential Functions:
- Organize, prepare and teach classes that include REsistance “pillar” elements: music, video, choreography, strength (weights segment) and other elements. Classes range from 30 to 45 minutes.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to class to greet class participants and to assist with acclimation and setup for first time visitors.
- Must greet and welcome new riders to class making sure their bike is properly set up.
- Post, market and manage personal Instagram and Facebook pages to develop a following.
- Actively comment, like and share on studio social platforms weekly.
- Adhere to the REsistance training method, brand and safety guidelines as outlined in the Instructor Training Manual.
- Actively represent REsistance at studio-organized events that are held periodically both within and outside the studio.
- Willing to work with owner to hone and improve class skills if needed.
- Develop a relationship with current and prospective riders to build classes.
Qualifications:
- Indoor Cycling Instruction a plus but not required.
- Any Group Fitness Instruction preferred but not necessary.
- Must be able to pass an audition.

Compensation:
· $25-$33 based on experience/ class.
