Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accurate financial records, processing payroll efficiently, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare journal entries, account analysis reports, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are properly balanced and documented.
- Assist with budgeting processes, financial report writing, and supporting governmental or non-profit accounting requirements as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with Quicken is a plus.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards.
- Knowledge of GAAP guidelines, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and account analysis accurately.
- Experience with payroll processing systems and tax compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis.

Pay: $19.00 - $26.35 per hour
