Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Cook food items efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food properly to ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly cleaning utensils, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety management practices
- Demonstrated knife skills, slicing techniques, and proficiency in food preparation methods
- Experience with meal preparation, catering services, or serving in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to safety standards during production

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
