American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a night shift geriatric psychiatric unit requiring dementia patient care experience and a TN or compact RN license.

>Inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit within an acute care hospital
-
24-bed unit with a 1:7 patient-to-nurse ratio
-
Geriatric patient population (age 50+) with dementia and behavioral disturbances
-
Uses Medhost EMR
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend required, totaling 24 weekend hours
-
No on-call requirements
-
No floating requirements
-
Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or compact)

BLS certification required
-
HWC certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Required experience caring for dementia patients

Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start with results required before starting

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances

Work within a calm, team-oriented environment requiring strong interpersonal skills

Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate

Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
-
Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment

Solid color scrubs required
