POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Birchview Gardens Assisted Living Inc is accepting RN (Registered Nurse) applications for our 29-unit Memory Care facility located in Walker, Minnesota.
SKILLS AND DUTIES:
-Observe and assess patients
-Advise patients on health maintenance and preventative medicine
-Monitor and report symptoms and changes in patient status
-Maintain complete and accurate patient records
-Modify treatment plans where indicated
-Develop client care plans
-Ensure physician orders are signed and implemented within 24 hours
-Coordinate and supervise the start-up of services for new clients and discharges
-Order and administer medications
-Follow medication administration and storage procedures and regulations
-Check and maintain nursing supplies inventory
-Adhere to infection control protocols
-Complete proper charting practices and procedures
-Maintain a safe and clean working environment
-Administer Mantoux shots to staff
-Coordinate staff training
-Ensure that unlicensed staff performs its duties and responsibilities in a timely, quality manner
-Assist in monitoring and evaluation of job performance of unlicensed staff
-Schedule work of unlicensed staff within the established guidelines
-Assist staff as needed
-Work cooperatively with other departments
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
