Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, bread, and other confections, following established recipes and standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently.
- Support food production by measuring ingredients accurately using basic math skills and adhering to recipe specifications.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative flair, ensuring visual appeal aligns with customer expectations.
- Package baked items carefully for sale or catering orders while maintaining product freshness and presentation.
- Maintain a spotless work environment by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to uphold food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering inquiries about baked goods.
- Communicate effectively & honestly with business owners & Bakery Manager
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry arts is highly preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen appliances are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is required to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow recipes precisely and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Customer service experience is beneficial for engaging positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels.
