A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Lower Manhattan is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 1–4 years of plaintiff PI experience to join its growing litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is ready to take ownership of their own cases while developing into a future leadership position.
Unlike a traditional associate role, this position offers the opportunity to independently manage your own caseload with guidance from experienced Managing Attorneys and Partners. The firm has a defined growth path, with the expectation that the successful candidate will transition into a Team Leader role within the next 1–3 years.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a caseload of approximately 150 personal injury matters, with the potential to grow to 200 cases.
- Handle plaintiff personal injury cases from inception through settlement.
- Manage all aspects of pre-litigation and litigation, including client communication, discovery, negotiations, depositions, motion practice, and case strategy.
- Work closely with Managing Attorneys while maintaining ownership of your own cases—not assisting on another attorney's caseload.
- Deliver exceptional client service and proactively advance cases toward successful resolution.
- Prepare for increased leadership responsibilities as part of the firm's long-term succession and growth strategy.
