LOCATION: Elizabethtown, KY (Service territory on repairs within a 1-hour drive radius of the main office)
BASE SALARY: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year (commensurate with experience)
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, full-time Residential Restoration Project Manager to lead insurance-driven repair and rebuild projects. In this role, you will work in close partnership with our internal Restoration Coordinator/Estimator. While the Coordinator focuses on initial documentation and drafting Xactimate estimates, you will lead the execution on-site. You will translate those estimates into reality by managing specialized trades, controlling budgets, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship from start to final completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Hand-off: Review Xactimate estimates, photos, and claim details alongside the Restoration Coordinator to map out the physical project execution.
- On-Site Supervision: Direct, schedule, and quality-check subcontractors (e.g., drywallers, painters, roofers, finish carpenters) to keep rebuild schedules moving efficiently. Update job files accordingly.
- Supplement Collaboration: Identify hidden or unforeseen damages on-site and communicate findings clearly to the Estimator to ensure accurate insurance supplements are filed.
- Budget Tracking: Control project costs, approve subcontractor invoices, and preserve target profit margins based on the approved carrier estimate.
- Customer Liaison: Act as the primary, empathetic face of the company on-site, keeping stressed homeowners informed and satisfied throughout the construction process.
- Project Closeout: Resolve punch-list items rapidly, conduct final walkthroughs with clients, and secure signed certificates of completion.
COLLABORATIVE WORKFLOW
- The Coordinator/Estimator: Handles desk-adjusting, writes the initial Xactimate scope, communicates directly with adjusters, and tracks program compliance.
- The Project Manager (You): Runs the physical job site, schedules the crews, orders materials, and drives production safely to the finish line.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years managing residential construction, remodeling, or insurance restoration projects.
- Teamwork Dynamics: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a dual-role structure (PM + Estimator) to maximize efficiency.
- Technical Familiarity: Solid understanding of Xactimate line items and insurance scopes is highly preferred to ensure accurate field execution.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential building codes, structural framing, residential finishing, and safety standards.
- Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Location: Must live within or be willing to commute daily throughout the 1-hour service territory radius of Elizabethtown, KY.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
