About Alamo Dx Labs
Alamo Dx Labs is a clinical diagnostic laboratory based in San Antonio, Texas. We provide laboratory testing services to healthcare providers and are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional to help expand our network of physician offices, clinics, and healthcare organizations.
We are seeking someone who is confident, professional, persistent, and comfortable working directly with healthcare professionals. This is a field-based sales and business development position with a strong focus on visiting medical practices, developing new relationships, generating qualified opportunities, and helping convert prospective practices into long-term laboratory clients.
Candidates with existing relationships within the San Antonio healthcare community are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect physician offices, clinics, medical practices, and other healthcare organizations that may benefit from our laboratory services.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to prospective physician offices and clinics throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas.
- Introduce healthcare providers and practice staff to Alamo Dx Labs and clearly communicate our laboratory capabilities, services, and client support.
- Develop professional relationships with physicians, practice owners, office managers, administrators, nurses, and other healthcare decision-makers.
- Identify the appropriate decision-maker within prospective practices and establish opportunities for further discussion.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients.
- Maintain consistent and professional follow-up with prospective accounts.
- Guide interested practices through the laboratory onboarding process in coordination with our internal team.
- Help ensure newly onboarded accounts have the information, supplies, resources, and support necessary to begin using our laboratory services.
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts and regularly communicate with practices to ensure a positive client experience.
- Identify client concerns and coordinate with laboratory management to resolve service issues.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective, onboarding, active, and follow-up accounts.
- Document clinic visits, contacts, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
- Provide management with regular reports regarding outreach activity, prospective accounts, newly established accounts, and market feedback.
- Identify new territories and opportunities for laboratory growth.
- Represent Alamo Dx Labs professionally and ethically at all times.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is highly motivated and comfortable working independently. This position requires someone who is willing to consistently be in the field, walk into physician offices, introduce themselves to new practices, build relationships, and follow up until an opportunity is won or determined not to be a fit.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous sales, marketing, business development, or account-management experience.
- Experience in clinical laboratory, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, home health, or other physician-facing sales is strongly preferred.
- Previous clinical laboratory sales experience is a major plus.
- Existing professional relationships with physicians, medical practices, office managers, or healthcare organizations in the San Antonio area are highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and communication style.
- Confidence speaking with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
- Goal-oriented and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to physician offices and clinics.
What Success Looks Like
This is a results-oriented position. Successful representatives will consistently:
- Develop new prospective clinic relationships.
- Maintain a high level of field outreach and physician-office visits.
- Build a strong and organized pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Schedule meetings with healthcare decision-makers.
- Successfully help move qualified prospective practices through the onboarding process.
- Develop long-term relationships with established accounts.
- Maintain consistent communication and follow-up.
- Demonstrate measurable territory and account growth over time.
Performance will be evaluated based on a combination of outreach activity, qualified opportunities, successful account development, relationship management, and overall contribution to company growth.
Compensation
Base compensation: $2,000–$4,000 per month, based on relevant experience, healthcare/laboratory sales background, existing professional relationships, and demonstrated sales ability.
Additional performance-based bonus opportunities are available.
Mileage/travel reimbursement may be provided in accordance with company policy.
Candidates with significant clinical laboratory sales experience and an established network of physician or clinic relationships may qualify for compensation toward the higher end of the range.
Why Join Alamo Dx Labs?
This is an opportunity to join a growing independent diagnostic laboratory and play a direct role in expanding our physician and clinic network.
Unlike a highly structured corporate sales environment, this position provides an opportunity to work closely with laboratory leadership, contribute ideas, develop a territory, build meaningful healthcare relationships, and grow professionally as the company expands.
We are particularly interested in individuals who want to build something long-term and whose compensation and responsibilities can grow alongside their demonstrated performance.
