American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.

13-week contract in a 70-bed Level IV NICU at a 152-bed Level II children's hospital — the second highest-level NICU in the state
-
NICU is part of a pediatric hospital attached to an adult facility, with an adjacent high-risk labor and delivery unit

Typical census is approximately 50 patients; all rooms are private
-
Patient population includes premature infants down to 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS; preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE
-
Occasional overflow to Level II Nursery for feeders/growers

12-hour night shifts (1900–0730 or 0700–1930)

36 hours per week

Every other weekend rotation required; occasional back-to-back weekends possible but rare
-
Block scheduling possible
-
Rare floating to the ER in a sitter capacity

No on-call requirements

EMR: Epic
-
Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required

Current certifications: BLS and NRP

Minimum 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience required

Proficiency with respiratory support for ventilators required
-
Experience with NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, NG/OG tubes, G-tubes, medication administration, care planning, and discharge-to-home coordination required

Tracheostomy experience highly preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start

First-time travelers will be considered, though prior travel experience is strongly preferred

Candidate must have a positive, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Any scrub color is acceptable
