Sycuan Health Center is seeking a Clinical Applications Coordinator to support the implementation, optimization, and daily use of our clinical application systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), Electronic Dental Records (EDR), and Practice Management (PM) platforms.
This role is ideal for a technology-savvy healthcare professional who enjoys training users, improving workflows, solving problems, and helping clinical teams maximize the value of healthcare technology. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in enhancing system performance, user adoption, clinical documentation, and overall operational efficiency.
Location: 100% Onsite- El Cajon, CA
Compensation: Depending on Experience- Salary, plus annual bonus
What You'll Do
Training & User Support
- Design and deliver role-based EHR, EDR, and PM training for new and existing users.
- Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, tip sheets, and instructional resources.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clinical application users.
- Adapt training methods to meet varying levels of technical proficiency.
System Optimization & Workflow Improvement
- Evaluate system functionality and identify opportunities to improve performance and user experience.
- Conduct workflow assessments and gap analyses related to software implementations and upgrades.
- Gather user feedback and recommend enhancements to improve clinical efficiency and documentation.
- Support quality improvement initiatives related to EHR utilization and data integrity.
Project & Application Support
- Assist with application-related projects, system implementations, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams across the organization.
- Support the consistent and effective use of clinical applications in Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, HIM, Administration, and Business Office departments.
Reporting & Super User Functions
- Develop and maintain reports, templates, and system tools that support clinical and operational needs.
- Serve as a clinical application Super User and subject matter expert.
- Prepare and provide regular reports to HIT leadership.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum three (3) years of Clinical Applications Coordinator (CAC) experience.
- Experience supporting NextGen EHR, EDR, and PM systems.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements and healthcare privacy regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting, training, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Health Information Technology, or a related field.
- LVN or higher clinical credential.
- NextGen Certified Professional designation.
- Experience working in a Tribal Health Clinic or Community Health Center environment.
