Position Details
Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina 28546
Facility Type: VA disability exam clinic
Schedule: Full-time…Monday–Friday
Clinic Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Employment Type: Full-time
Travel: No travel required
Patient Population: Adult Veterans
Responsibilities
- Review service treatment records and relevant medical history
- Conduct in-person behavioral health evaluations
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments as required
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Provide medical opinions when requested
- Document findings in a secure electronic system
- Submit completed evaluations within required timelines
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
- Graduate of an APA-accredited doctoral program
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship
- Active, unrestricted state license required (any U.S. state license accepted under contract guidelines)
- Ability to work independently and meet documentation deadlines
Preferred:
- Prior VA or C&P examination experience
