Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Jet Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating water jet cutting equipment to precisely cut and shape a variety of materials, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting will be essential in maintaining efficient production workflows. Duties
- Set up and operate water jet cutting machines, ensuring correct calibration and alignment for each job
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on industrial water jet machinery to minimize downtime
- Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify dimensional accuracy
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to all factory safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine safeguards
Requirements
- Proven experience operating water jet cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and mechanical blueprint interpretation
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, shop math, and GD&T for quality control
- Experience with CNC machining processes including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, welding, and fabrication techniques is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, materials handling, packaging, assembly line processes, and shop math skills
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus
- Excellent understanding of safety standards in production environments and factory experience is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
