Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated SAT English Teacher/Tutor to inspire and guide students preparing for the SAT exam. Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive SAT English preparation lessons that cover reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and essay writing.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Utilize diverse teaching tools and learning technology to create interactive and engaging classroom experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, practice tests, and assignments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages participation and motivation.
- Incorporate curriculum development principles to ensure lessons align with current SAT standards and best practices.
- Support students in developing strong writing skills necessary for the essay portion of the exam through targeted instruction and practice.
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience in teaching English, test preparation, or related fields with a focus on standardized exams like the SAT.
- Strong knowledge of English language arts, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and essay writing.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special education needs or adult learners.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Proficiency in using learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
