Position Summary
The Advanced Gymnastics Instructor will lead and instruct an advanced-level gymnastics class for young athletes. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has a passion for gymnastics, and can create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment where participants can develop their skills and confidence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging gymnastics instruction appropriate for advanced-level participants.
- Teach and demonstrate proper gymnastics techniques and skills.
- Provide positive feedback, encouragement, and instruction to help athletes progress.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor participants during class and follow established safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with participants and families.
- Communicate effectively with Parks & Recreation staff regarding class needs, participant concerns, or other relevant information.
- Maintain a clean and organized instructional environment.
· Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous gymnastics experience and/or coaching or teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with children or youth is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with young athletes.
- Dependable, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic.
- Current CPR certification required, or willingness to obtain CPR certification.
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants.

- One day per week: Wednesdays
- Part-time position
- Class schedule and hours to be discussed during the interview process.
