Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Autism Caregiver to provide high-quality support and care to individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. We are looking for the following shifts:
1- AM SHIFTS from 6am to 2pm (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH SATURDAY and SUNDAYS)
2- PM SHIFTS from 2pm to 10pm (MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH SATURDAY and SUNDAYS)
Duties:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor patient behavior and observe for any changes in condition or mood
- Administer medications and manage medication schedules in accordance with care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients during community outings and social activities to promote engagement and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including vital signs and progress notes
- Follow safety protocols, including proper use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts
- Assist with light cleaning tasks to ensure a clean, safe living environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred; group home or home & community care experience is a plus
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with assisted living, long-term care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or nursing home settings is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate assistive devices safely
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with individuals requiring specialized support
- Valid driver’s license preferred for community outings or appointments
- Ability to work flexible hours in accordance with client needs; compassionate attitude essential for providing quality patient care
- Must adhere to all safety standards and confidentiality regulations related to patient information

Pay: $3,200.00 - $4,500.00 per month
