POSITION TITLE: Distribution Center Warehouse Associate and Box Truck Driver
Compensation: $24 per hour during training, increasing to $25 once DOT Certified

The Day and Life of the Associate
Under the direct supervision of the Distribution Center (DC) Manager, the Warehouse Associate / Box Truck Driver may do the following activities:
- Receiving and delivery excellence of Bedrooms & More merchandise.
- Assist with loading the products for delivery in trucks or customer preference.
- Drive or assist with transporting goods by box truck to customers’ homes.
- Unload the product at the destination site.
- Assemble and position the product as directed by the customer.
- Troubleshoot common issues and communicate with manager / salesperson as needed.
- Provide customer service / field questions from customers.
- Remove old/used mattresses for recycling.
- Complete warehouse tasks such as unloading freight, cleaning, storing. product, assembling, mattresses, prepping materials for delivery, etc.
- Complete other duties as assigned or directed by the DC Manager or leadership.
Key Responsibilities That Keep Us Growing
- Loading and unloading heavy materials. Loads may be around 80 pounds.
- Safe transport and delivery of goods.
- Providing excellent customer service - fielding questions as able, forwarding questions as needed to the DC Manager or appropriate resource.
- Assembling furniture in customers’ homes. Complete needed paperwork.
- Work well with teammates and contribute to the DC’s overall goals
Required Proficiency and Background to Join Our High Performing Team
- Experience driving a company vehicle, preference for box truck experience.
- DOT Certification or ability to become DOT Certified within first 30 days.
- Must have physical stamina to lift heavy objects with provided safety equipment up to 80 pounds., team lift 80 - 100 pounds up flights of stairs as needed.
- Current valid driver’s license and insurable driving record - max = 2 incidents in the past 3 years
- Attention to detail - OSHA Safety focused for self and other team members by following work, health and driving regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills in active listening and professional speaking.
- Willingness to meet company standards for dress and hygiene.
- Reliable and ready to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Excellent time management, attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM on assigned days.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
