About us
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care, group home management, or assisted living environments. This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care while promoting their rights and well-being. The House Manager will lead a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP), coordinate services, and foster a supportive community for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the house, ensuring compliance with resident rights and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and train staff members, providing leadership and support to promote a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, collaborating with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Oversee the administration of medications and medical care in accordance with established protocols.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
- Organize recreational activities and social events to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records related to resident care, staff performance, and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
Requirements
- Previous management experience in long-term care, group home management, or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- A background in nursing or social work is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

*****Maximum pay is $20.00/hour and not negotiable.
*********Hours are typically 1:30pm to 10pm, Monday-Friday (some exceptions). One weekend day a month (Saturday or Sunday) from 6pm to 11pm.
**********Required to attend a one-week training, Monday thru Friday between 8am to 5pm and complete all mandatory trainings.
