Overview
LA Embolization Centers are seeking an experienced Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing outpatient Vascular and Interventional Radiology practice. In this full-time role, you will support patients before and after procedures, perform consultations and follow-up visits, and work closely with physicians to deliver safe, efficient, compassionate care. Please note, this is a growing practice and you will be required to work in all of our LA County facilities which are currently in Sherman Oaks and Palmdale but will eventually include Lancaster, Santa Clarita, and Glendale.
POSITION SUMMARY
The PA-C provides pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure follow-up for patients undergoing vascular and interventional radiology procedures. This role combines direct patient care, diagnostic evaluation, care coordination, patient and family communication, accurate electronic health record documentation, physician collaboration, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care & Patient Management
- Conduct patient consultations and follow-up visits, including comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
- Provide pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure follow-up for patients receiving vascular and interventional radiology care.
- Order appropriate diagnostic tests, review results, and communicate findings or concerns to the physician as needed.
- Manage patient-care needs in the outpatient clinic, including responding to patient calls and coordinating timely follow-up.
- Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
SUCCESS MEASURES
- Pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure follow-up are completed accurately and on time.
- Diagnostic results are reviewed promptly and relevant findings are communicated to the physician as needed.
- Patients and families receive clear, respectful communication and understand the next steps in care.
- EHR (Athena) documentation is accurate, complete, and supports continuity of care.
- The clinician contributes reliably to interdisciplinary teamwork and quality improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Experience practicing as a Certified Physician Assistant.
- Strong medical documentation skills and proficiency with electronic health records.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinical environment.
- Commitment to providing effective, high-quality, patient-centered care.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION
Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from a program recognized by the applicable state licensing board.
- Current DEA registration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position works in a fast paced outpatient clinical and procedural environment and routinely uses computers, phones, and electronic medical records. The role requires frequent interaction with patients, staff, providers, vendors, and referring offices; the ability to remain calm in stressful or changing situations; ability to work with strong personalities, and flexibility to work beyond normal hours when operations require. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday; communicate clearly in person and by telephone; read information from screens and printed materials; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Pay: $188,000.00 - $228,000.00 per year
