Overview
Join our amazing team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver. Here at Purkey Farms LLC we strive to provide the best service for our customers. Hauling equipment with the lowboy trailer and tractor, hauling asphalt, dirt, rock and etc. with our 5 axle dump trucks, occasionally hooking up to the pup trailer with the dump trucks. We are looking for someone to help us keep our family company going and striving for success.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks (occasional manual) across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Get loaded and unloaded as safely as possible when driving dump trucks
- Lowboy: know how to safely load and unload equipment onto trailer
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing delivery schedules and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Keep trucks clean inside and outside
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, lowboys, dump trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Hands-on experience with load & unload procedures for dump trucks and/or lowboy
- Familiarity with route driving across urban and rural areas in diverse weather conditions
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely ( only if you want to drive lowboy)
- Experience loading equipment is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving, vehicle inspection, and safety standard
