Job Description
Washbodega is hiring a Part-Time Laundry Attendant / Store Associate for our neighborhood laundromat at 6604 W Bellfort Ave in Houston.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, honest, and comfortable keeping the store clean throughout the shift. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in a clean workplace, and wants stable part-time work with the opportunity to grow as Washbodega expands.
No prior laundromat experience is required. Paid training is provided.
What You’ll Do
As a Laundry Attendant, you will help create a clean, welcoming, and reliable laundry experience for customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet customers and provide helpful service
- Help customers understand washers, dryers, laundry cards, and payment systems
- Keep the laundromat clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift
- Clean machines, folding tables, carts, floors, bathrooms, windows, and customer areas
- Assist with wash/dry/fold drop-off orders
- Carefully handle, fold, package, and return customer laundry
- Restock supplies as needed
- Report machine issues, customer concerns, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to management
- Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and customer-service checklists
- Protect customer property and handle lost items according to store policy
- Maintain a respectful, professional, customer-friendly environment

- Detail-oriented when handling customer belongings
- Able to follow checklists and written procedures
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, cleaning, and lifting laundry items during a shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to work independently after training
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and management
- Interested in stable, long-term part-time work
English/Spanish customer-service ability is a plus because we serve both English- and Spanish-speaking customers.
Prior experience in customer service, cleaning, laundry, hotel, restaurant, retail, caregiving, or similar work is helpful but not required.

Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts reliably
- Weekend availability is preferred because the store serves customers seven days a week
- Must be comfortable cleaning bathrooms, floors, machines, and customer areas
- Must be able to stand and move throughout the shift
