Story Flight Productions has launched Empty Tigers Media, an emerging sports storytelling platform dedicated to sharing the people, traditions, and moments behind the games that shape our communities. Through interviews, documentaries, and digital storytelling, we're creating meaningful content that celebrates athletes, coaches, parents, and hometown heroes.
This position offers the opportunity to grow with our company. As Empty Tigers Media expands and our feature film, Empty Tigers, moves into production, the right candidate will have the opportunity to advance into a Media Manager role, helping oversee digital content, behind-the-scenes coverage, and social media marketing for the feature film and future Story Flight Productions projects.
We're looking for a creative, dependable team member who wants to help build something meaningful from the very beginning.
Responsibilities
- Assist with filming interviews, sporting events, and community stories.
- Help set up and operate cameras, microphones, lighting, and other production equipment.
- Edit long-form interviews for YouTube and create short-form content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Create or assist with YouTube thumbnails and social media graphics using Canva or similar software.
- Upload and optimize videos on YouTube.
- Schedule and publish content through Meta Business Suite and other social media platforms.
- Organize video files within Google Drive and maintain a well-structured media library.
- Assist with maintaining our website and other digital media projects as needed.
- Identify compelling moments from interviews that can be repurposed into social media content.
- Work closely with the founder to help grow the Empty Tigers Media brand.
Qualifications
We're more interested in creativity, reliability, and a willingness to learn than formal education.
Ideal candidates will have experience with some or most of the following:
- Video production or videography
- Video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Clipchamp, or similar software)
- Social media content creation and management
- YouTube Studio
- Meta Business Suite (Facebook & Instagram)
- Google Drive and cloud file organization
- Canva or similar graphic design software

Preferred Qualifications
- Lives in or near Paducah, Kentucky.
- Available to assist with interviews, sporting events, and community events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Comfortable working both behind the camera and behind the computer.
- Has access to reliable transportation.
