The Field Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of assigned field team members in all matters pertaining to performance and activity.

Disciplinary Actions:

Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, addressing misconduct or policy violations promptly and fairly.

Handle disciplinary actions such as verbal warnings, written warnings, and performance improvement plans (PIPs) when required, ensuring consistency and adherence to company guidelines.

Conduct investigations into alleged violations, maintaining confidentiality and fairness throughout the process.

Collaborate with HR to handle more serious issues, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company protocols.

Foreman Development:

Immediate supervision of the Foreman’s responsibilities:

Quality control of installation
-
Enforce crew start times and management of lunches, including accurate timekeeping
-
Enforce strong culture of Safety. Support Safety Huddles
-
Ordering and returning material (Frequency)
-
Vehicle and trailer organization
-
Teach Foreman how to interact and professionally communicate with General Contractors, Subcontractors and fellow trades in regard to handlings of issues and concerns
-
Inspection process throughout job. Train Foreman to actively schedule the detailed 3-week labor and equipment needs and any future long-term labor needs for confirmed projects up to and including tentative dates

Train Foreman on project close out documents

Train Foreman on the monthly percent complete report

Train Foreman on Change Order procedures/completion

Enforce professional employee appearance
-
Provide and/or arrange training on technology and/or application-based systems

Participate in evaluations, relaying accurate details and within established timelines.
Other:

Assist in weekly scheduling

Approve direct reports time weekly
-
Enforce standard policies and procedures, up to and including Health & Safety guidelines.

Assist Foremen, Superintendents with goal setting & production tracking. Finding ways to help Foreman save labor hours on their projects

Assist with training and developing team members with proper install procedures, company policies, quality and production
- Be the eyes and ears for the Project Manager about controlling costs up to and including material and labor hours.

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
-
Document crew member incidents and behaviors related to policy violations and disciplinary action; report to Office staff appropriately and timely.

Education / Experience / Certification Requirements
-
Experienced Electrical & Solar Foreman with positive history of successful projects
-
Vast experience with different types of solar systems and racking systems (Roof / Ground / etc)
-
Experience with different types of Electrical Construction (New Construction/Remodel/Service)
-
Experience working both independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
-
Proven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations
-
Proven experience understanding and implementing NEC Code regulations
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
State or local electrical license preferred
