Overview

Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including excavation and trenching for pipeline installation
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to move materials and prepare work areas
- Lay out pipe routes according to blueprints and technical specifications, ensuring accurate placement using pipe lasers and blueprint reading
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks where necessary for foundation or support structures
- Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or hazards
- Support welding activities and assist with pipe fitting, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections
- Maintain safety standards by following protocols during heavy equipment operation, welding, and site activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience with construction site work, pipeline installation, or utility projects preferred
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, pipe laser use, concrete finishing, welding techniques, and concrete forming processes
- Ability to perform utility locating accurately to ensure safe excavation practices
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and oil & gas pipeline construction is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid certifications or training in heavy equipment operation or construction safety are advantageous
