American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with 2 years of experience for a night shift position requiring an SC or compact RN license and Epic experience.

Work in the Medical Surgical Float unit (6 South) of a hospital setting
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Float required to other Medical Surgical units as needed, as part of a resource pool floating across 5 MS and 4 Tele units
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active RN license (SC or Compact) required; pending license accepted if obtained prior to start

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required

Epic charting system experience required
-
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and peripheral line care
-
Skills in respiratory care including chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
-
Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
-
Experience with telemetry remote monitoring preferred
-
License verification (Nursys or equivalent) required for consideration
-
Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care with responsibilities spanning IV therapy, respiratory support, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
-
