Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to move trailers within the yard, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight from trailers utilizing forklift
- Precisely position trailers for delivery or storage, including coupling and uncoupling tractor units.
- Conduct routine inspections of trailers and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of trailer movements, load details, and yard activities for operational tracking.
- Assist with route driving when required for short-distance deliveries or repositioning within the facility.
- Use forklift or other yard equipment to support trailer handling when necessary, following proper safety procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks in a yard or delivery setting.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling.
- Skilled in load & unload procedures for various trailer types and freight configurations.
- Excellent driving record with experience in truck driving, tractor-trailer maneuvering, and route driving.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to commercial driving and yard operations.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Pay: $25.88 - $29.00 per hour
