Job Synopsis
MCC seeks a detail-oriented and creative person to serve as the Graphic Design & Marketing Associate. This role will aid the work of MCC regional communications in East Coast and Great Lakes with a strong emphasis on design, marketing and internal communication and resource sharing. The position plays an essential role in inviting audiences to support MCC by praying, learning, giving, serving, and advocating. A collaborative approach to this position is important, given the frequent need for teamwork within and outside of the department. The role will support MCC East Coast regional communications 50% of the time and MCC Great Lakes regional communications 50% of the time. Depending on where the position is based, the role will be supervised directly by one regional Communications Director and will be assigned tasks by the other regional Communications Director while being immersed in the MCC U.S. Communicators Network.

Essential:
Graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva

Key Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
DESIGN & CONTENT CREATION (60%)
Create regular email marketing campaigns, online registration forms, and create and update web content.
Design print newsletters, flyers, handouts, one-page reports, social media graphics, PowerPoint presentations, bulletin inserts and other print and digital marketing and educational materials
Provide occasional logo, brand and style consultation
Serve as photographer or collect short-form video content (vertical cell phone video clips) for articles, publications or social media when needed
Write occasional articles for print and web
Upload photos and detailed captions and program information into Media Space, MCC’s photo library
Create occasional social media content for various platforms.
Coordinate Spanish translation for written promotional resources
EVENT PROMOTION AND PREPARATION (20%)
Support MCC staff across various departments with promotion and planning for inclusive and welcoming events
Prepare new materials for customized MCC displays
Prepare communications and ambassador resources for MCC East Coast board meetings twice a year
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION (20%)
Monitor shared East Coast regional email inboxes.
Compile and send a weekly internal East Coast email newsletter.
Support organization of shared communications digital file storage.
Promote staff awareness of promotional resources that are available for constituency engagement
Supervision: No direct supervision responsibilities.
Travel expectations: Travel up to 25% within the U.S. or Canada

Salary Details
Base salary: $48,818.07 - Starting salary may be adjusted up to $54,242.30 based on previous experience.
