We are partnering with a well-established, growing Manhattan-based organization in search of a Senior Accounting Manager to join their accounting leadership team. What You Will Do

Organize and coordinate the month-end close process with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and Business Planning teams; validate and integrate sales and payroll general ledger files

Reconcile key accounts on the balance sheet and income statement; review proper accounting of all bank transactions; make adjusting entries as required

Drive the preparation and consolidation of internal and external financial statements in US GAAP, ITA GAAP, and IFRS, including analysis and reconciliation of intercompany balances

Build and maintain key internal department documents, including chart of accounts, Accounting SOPs and policies, and accounting worksheets

Build and maintain backup schedules for various P&L and balance sheet line items, such as rent, utilities, contract revenue, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses

Identify and implement process improvements within the Finance department, leveraging technology and AI where appropriate

Supervise the accounting, collection, and reconciliation of corporate and retail trade receivables

Support alignment between finance and business operations by providing guidance and implementing controls on activities such as third-party revenue channels

Coordinate timely filing and payment of sales and use tax for all store locations

Work directly with stakeholders and team members to prepare accounting reports and analysis

Assist in internal and external audits

Mentor and develop junior accounting staff

Perform other duties as required or assigned
What They Are Looking For

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting

6+ years of experience with general ledger functions and month-end close
-
Strong manufacturing accounting background with experience managing inventory

CPA preferred but not required — candidates with a solid manufacturing accounting foundation are strongly encouraged to apply

Prior leadership or team management experience; experience mentoring junior staff is a plus

Advanced Excel skills (index-match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, templates)

Familiarity with US GAAP; willingness to learn ITA GAAP and IFRS

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (Finance & Operations) or similar ERP system
