Ward Electric Company is currently accepting applications for a full-time team-oriented Safety Administrator. This position will report to the company's Director of Safety Compliance/Training and will be based out of Ward Electric's Longmont, Colorado headquarters.
The Safety Administrator will have a strong emphasis on scheduling and maintaining compliance. This position will be responsible for coordinating safety interviews, scheduling Safety Manager schedules, maintaining organized documentation systems, auditing internal safety folders and processes. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities at once, and has strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule employee safety interviews, including panel interviews and leadership participation
- Manage and organize Safety Manager schedules and coordinate coverage across crews and job sites
- Audit internal safety folders, documentation, and systems to ensure consistency and completeness
- Assist with maintaining organized safety records, reports, and internal documentation
- Support implementation and coordination of new safety processes and programs
- Communicate with Safety Managers, Operations leadership, and administrative staff regarding scheduling and documentation needs
- Track and maintain internal safety workflows such as JHA’s and Crew Visits Audits
- Assist in organizing safety meetings, safety initiatives, and department coordination efforts
- Provide administrative support to the Safety Director and Safety leadership team
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Comfortable coordinating with multiple departments and leadership levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience with scheduling, document organization, or administrative coordination preferred
- Basic understanding of construction or utility safety practices is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and digital documentation systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong follow-through and accountability
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to create structure and organization within systems and processes
- Comfortable working with field leadership and safety professionals
- Previous safety or construction industry experience preferred

- Pay Range: $25-$31/hour
- 40 Hours/Week
- Standard office hours M-F
