Job Summary
The Central Regional Education Association (CREA) Assistant Director of Extended School Programs (ESP) plays a vital leadership role in guiding and supporting Site Coordinators and administration, in consultation with the ESP Director, necessary to ensure the provision of the best possible out-of-school programs for all students within CREA.
This energetic and detail-oriented professional will collaborate with educational staff, community partners, and families to create enriching programs that support student growth, foster a positive learning environment, and promote community engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about out-of-school programming, experienced in program development, and excels in decisive leadership and team management to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality after-school services.
Performance is equally a function of goal attainment; timely and accurate completion of assignments; building positive internal and external relationships; and planning, communicating and coordinating work to avoid last-minute confusion while adhering to legal/compliance guidelines and organizational policies/procedures. Duties
- Supports ESP Director in the development and implementation of CREA's extended school program.
- Provide leadership in the hiring, supervision, and development of ESP staff for CREA.
- Directly supervises ESP Site Coordinators for grant schools and supports supervision of Site Coordinators in all other sites.
- Implements applicable state, CREA, school district, agency and grant policies and regulations.
- Assists ESP Director in planning and implementing CREA schools' extended school programs.
- Facilitates partnerships with appropriate public and private agencies that provide services to the students and families.
- Supports ESP Director in developing procedures and policies for operations of the extended school program.
- Analyzes and applies information from periodic program evaluations.
- Participates on local and state committees related to extended school programs.
- Maintains records needed for program administration.
- Supports sites in day-to-day operations including inventory and ordering of supplies.
- Manages coverage for all sites.
- Coaching of all sites to support continuous improvement of the program.
- Establishes and maintains communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the extended school program.
- Prepares additional proposals for supplemental funding.
- Provides oral and written reports to the public, CREA and the school systems.
- In collaboration with ESP Director, writes and delivers training agreements and written warnings for staff in the disciplinary process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills, Experience and Expertise
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Experience in education or pre-school programming.
- Confident, decisive leadership capabilities with proven success in staff supervision and personnel management in education environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong operational organization and follow-through.
- Enhance skills in teamwork, problem-solving, flexibility and accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high productivity levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and educational administrative software for data management and reporting.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
