American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool M/S Telemetry position requiring 2 years of acute care and travel experience, working nights and every other weekend at a hospital in the greater Boston area.

Float Pool position requiring willingness to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)

Patient population includes ED border patients, medication nurse duties in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients

Nurse-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights

Hospital has 371 beds; individual units range from 8 to 41 beds
-
Night shift: 19:00–07:30, with 1 to 3 rotations to days/evenings per contract

Every other weekend required

36 hours per week

EMR: Epic (charting); UKG/Kronos for timekeeping

13-week contract

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

BLS and ACLS certifications required — AHA only; no other providers accepted at this facility

Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location required

Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours

Experience with TR Band required

Ability to manage cardiac drips and read telemetry strips required

Epic EMR experience required

2 professional references required for consideration

Active MA RN license must be in hand at time of consideration — no pending licenses accepted

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administration of cardiac drips, and interpretation of telemetry strips every 4 hours

Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
