Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable finishes that stand the test of time. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and sealants using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute painting projects.
- Perform specialized tasks such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work as needed.
- Assist with renovation projects by handling demolition, framing, drywall installation, and fixture installation.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites and properly handling hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct touch-ups and restoration work to ensure high-quality finishes that meet client expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting with a strong understanding of color theory.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with renovation techniques is highly desirable.
- Skilled in plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, and masonry tasks.
- Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments.
- Additional handyman skills such as fixture installation and maintenance are a plus.
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills; ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently when needed.
