About the Role
As a Traffic Infrastructure Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety by deploying and maintaining complex traffic control systems. You will utilize your expertise in electrical wiring and aerial equipment to ensure that signalized intersections operate reliably and efficiently for the community.
Responsibilities-
Interpret complex intersection schematics and engineering plans to guide precise equipment deployment.

Execute the installation and termination of overhead and underground signal wiring to ensure system connectivity.

Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks to mount signal hardware, ensuring optimal visibility and structural integrity.

Configure traffic controllers and detection devices to support seamless traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

Perform comprehensive electrical diagnostics using multimeters to verify system continuity and voltage standards.

Maintain organized and code-compliant wiring within cabinets and junction boxes to facilitate long-term reliability.

Collaborate with field teams to manage material staging and site logistics for efficient project completion.

Implement traffic control measures to protect work zones and ensure the safety of the public and crew members.
Qualifications

1-5 years of experience in electrical construction or traffic signal systems.

Proficiency in reading technical drawings, riser diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Demonstrated ability to operate bucket trucks and aerial equipment safely.

Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instrumentation.

Valid driver’s license with a clean record suitable for operating company vehicles.

Commitment to rigorous safety standards, including PPE usage and electrical hazard mitigation.

Familiarity with MUTCD and OSHA regulatory standards for roadway work.

Prior experience with state-level transportation department installation requirements.
