Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Property Maintenance Lead/Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and facilities management of managed commercial rental properties through out Anchorage, Wasilla and Palmer at a 50 year plus established management company. This role involves leading maintenance teams, managing and conducting repair procedures, and ensuring the optimal efficient operation of building facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in facilities maintenance, and project management capabilities to ensure our properties are well-maintained and safe and tenant requests are handled in a quick and friendly manner.
Duties
- Lead and manage maintenance staff to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
- Oversee facilities maintenance management, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Supervise electrical systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure safety and compliance.
- Effect routine plumbing repairs and lighting repairs as requested.
- Patch, texture, hang drywall and paint and prep units.
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and manage various projects related to property upgrades, repairs, or renovations.
- Ensure all facilities maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with property managers and tenants to address maintenance needs promptly and professionally.
- Ensure office preps and warehouse preps are done efficiently and to task as work orders describe.
- Schedule out "on call" emergency periods for staff and take on call phone periodically.
- Proven experience in facilities or property maintenance supervision within a commercial setting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to train staff not as knowledgable in certain aspects of position.
- Technical knowledge of electrical systems, building systems, and general maintenance procedures.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to facilities management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and tenants.

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
