Summary:
The Production Artist works with designers to execute creative design. This role is the final checkpoint in a creative design process, reviewing final copy, layouts and content in print or digital form. They ensure brand standards across color, font, production quality and adherence to brand standards. This role diligently applies design changes and recommendations to each project while handling an array of projects at any given moment. A high standard for quality control is a must as production artists often provide the final approval of a project before its launch. A high degree of proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is required along with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation: $78,000 - $82,000
Location: 100% onsite at Napa, CA offices
You Will:
- Conversion of all graphics files to final mechanical files, calling out treatments and embellishments. Ensure accuracy and quality of all final art files delivered to vendors

Own the relationships with our packaging vendors and manage the execution of all design projects to ensure quality and manage costs, for labels, cartons and closures

Owns the relationship with our merchandise vendors and manage the execution of all projects to ensure design integrity, product quality and cost management (wearables, etc.)

Supervises all press checks and functions as the final approver and sign-off for Marketing on all branded items to ensure compliance with brand standards

Marketing department liaison to Production, Quality Assurance and Winemaking and Planning

Drive profitability through leading quality improvement, cost savings, and BOM streamlining efforts across all portfolios, on behalf of Marketing

Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions

Support the Marketing Team with special projects, events & activations as needed

You Have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in print and digital design, five or more years greatly preferred.

Previous winery experience highly preferred though not required.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat; hands-on experience with other graphic design software a big plus.

Solid understanding of print production and print embellishments.

Meticulous and extreme attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under high-pressure time constraints.

In depth knowledge of preproduction design.

Type layout skills and precise eye for color.

A proven team player able to establish good working relationships with strong & creative personalities.
