We are seeking a motivated Physician Assistant to join our expanding team in Folsom, California. This opportunity is open to experienced Physician Assistants as well as new graduates with a strong interest in neurology.
The selected candidate will receive structured physician mentorship, hands-on training, and opportunities to develop expertise in general neurology, headache medicine, dementia, movement disorders, epilepsy, neuropathy, and neurological procedures.

Advanced Services
VerityMD provides comprehensive neurological testing and treatment, including:
- Botox and Xeomin injections for migraine and spasticity
- Infusion therapies, including Leqembi, Ocrevus, and IVIG
- Routine and ambulatory EEG
- EMG and nerve conduction studies
- Cognitive and dementia assessments
- PET brain imaging
- Autonomic nervous system testing
- Migraine and headache procedures
- AI-assisted documentation and patient-engagement tools
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage new and established adult neurology patients
- Obtain detailed neurological histories and perform physical examinations
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising neurologists
- Prescribe and manage medications within the scope of practice
- Order and review laboratory studies, imaging, and diagnostic testing
- Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses and treatment plans
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Complete accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
- Respond appropriately to patient messages and clinical follow-up needs
- Participate in clinical education and quality-improvement initiatives
- Learn neurological procedures based on interest, experience, and training
- Gradually build an independent outpatient neurology schedule following a structured onboarding period
QualificationsRequired
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification
- Current California Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one
- DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led care team
- Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
Preferred
- Previous neurology experience
- One or more years of outpatient clinical experience
- Experience managing patients independently
- Experience with neurological procedures
- Experience using Epic or another electronic health record
Neurology experience is preferred but not required. New graduates with a genuine interest in neurology and a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
$65.00–$80.00 per hour
Placement within the range will be based on factors including:
- Overall clinical experience
- Relevant neurology experience
- Outpatient practice experience
- Procedural skills
- Ability to manage patients independently
- Education, training, and professional qualifications
New graduates and candidates requiring substantial neurology training will generally begin toward the lower portion of the range. Candidates with significant neurology experience, procedural expertise, or demonstrated ability to practice independently may qualify for compensation toward the higher portion of the range.
Following completion of the initial training and ramp-up period, additional performance-based compensation may be available. Performance incentives may consider:

Performance compensation is not based solely on the number of patients seen.
