Start Your Career in Physical Therapy the Right Way
If you’re thinking about PT or PTA school and want more than just a job, this could be the opportunity that helps shape your future.
At Robbins Rehabilitation, our Physical Therapy Aide role is designed for people who want real-world experience inside a busy, patient-centered outpatient physical therapy clinic. This is an ideal position for someone considering a future in physical therapy, physical therapist assistant school, or another healthcare career and who wants to learn the ropes, build relationships, and gain meaningful hands-on experience before taking the next step.
Every year, we help 3–5 PT aides move on to PT or PTA school. Along the way, we provide mentorship, exposure to the profession, support with applications, and letters of recommendation for team members who earn them.
This is more than an entry-level clinic job. It is a chance to learn, grow, and prepare for the career you want.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is a combination of clinical support and front office / administrative support, which means you’ll get a well-rounded look at how a successful physical therapy clinic really operates.
Clinical responsibilities may include:
- Assisting physical therapists with patient flow throughout the day
- Helping set up patients for treatment
- Supervising exercises as directed by the PT
- Cleaning and preparing treatment tables and equipment
- Keeping the clinic organized, stocked, and running smoothly
- Helping create a positive patient experience from start to finish
Administrative responsibilities may include:
- Answering phones
- Scheduling patients
- Taking payments
- Explaining basic insurance information
- Assisting patients at check-in and check-out
- Supporting the front desk and day-to-day clinic operations
Why This Role Stands Out
A lot of aide jobs give you a glimpse of the field. This role gives you a foundation.
At Robbins Rehabilitation, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Learn directly from experienced physical therapists

- Receive mentorship and guidance throughout your time with us
- Strengthen your application with meaningful experience and letters of recommendation
- Develop confidence in a real healthcare setting
If you are serious about becoming a PT or PTA, this role can help you take an important step forward.
