Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and ovens
- Maintain a clean work area by sanitizing surfaces and disposing of waste properly in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients and ensuring timely readiness for service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep and service needs
- Follow safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or food service environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in production environments
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques
- Skills in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
